My new photo project

I have started my mind and body to a new photo project that will take me through the struggles and alterations of training and running a marathon.

I hope to look into the power of the mind and speak aloud through an online journal, while recording a series of information throughout the training program. This will include a once a week personal photo of my body, along with recording times, diet, exercise and overall feeling during the program.

I look to run the Portland Marathon which is Oct. 4th which gives me a very short 15 weeks to train for which will be my 2nd marathon.

I started the training today Wednesday July 8th, with a short 3 mile run at 6 mph on the treadmill. I included 30 minutes of weight training, 10 mins of yoga, and 10 min of Yumuna body rolling.

I also weighed myself today and I am a whopping 175 lbs! I feel like I am out of shape and plan to turn that around in a very short time. I feel in 3 months that I will loose 20 to 25 lbs and hope to finish the race under 4 hrs.

I look to end the project with a self portrait during the race in which I will take at every mile during the race with film.

Wish me luck!
